Softball Canada and Rawlings Group Canada Extend Partnership Through 2018

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada and Rawlings Group Canada – a subsidiary of the Jarden Corporation who administer the Worth, Rawlings and Miken Sporting Goods Brands in Canada – are extremely pleased to announce that they have extended their partnership agreement for another five year term. Rawlings Group Canada has been a major sponsor of Softball Canada since 2003, and has made an excellent commitment to helping grow the sport in Canada.
“We are delighted to be extending our agreement with Rawlings Group Canada for another five years” said Softball Canada CEO Hugh Mitchener. “The quality and scope of their product line, combined with their commitment to growing the game in Canada, make them a great partner for us.”   As part of the new agreement, Worth will continue to hold the exclusive rights to use the Official Softball Canada logo on all Worth softball models, and will continue to be recognized as the Official Softball of Softball Canada’s Canadian Championships and National Teams. Rawlings Group Canada has also committed to increase their involvement to help further develop Softball Canada’s programs.   “Worth, Rawlings and Miken are both proud and honored to have extended our partnership with Softball Canada” stated Randy Beatty, General Manager of Rawlings Group Canada. “We value our working relationship with Softball Canada along with the Provincial and Territorial Softball Associations as well. We strive to keep challenging new and exciting growth opportunities together. This agreement solidifies the strength of our Canadian grassroots programs. We would like to wish all the best to Softball Canada and success to all of our National Team programs as they compete on the global stage for years to come.”   In addition to Worth’s exclusive softball rights, the two parties will continue to explore additional opportunities to help promote the sport in Canada.
