Ed Stefan Passes - Loss of a Great Fastball Fan

January 1, 2014

Georgetown, ON

This sad news passed along to us today by Margaret Ryan:

I just got a call from Gerda Stefan letting me know that Ed her husband of 55 years passed away November 14th, from a heart attack.

It was very quick and unexpected  with no suffering. I thought I would let you know , because the fastball family certainly knew Ed and Gerda. He will be certainly missed. If you post this, I have their email address in case friends want to send their condolences to Greda, the email is    edgerdastefan@bell.net.

Many of you will notice this fan by his picture even if you did not know his full name. He would be regarded by other fastball fans as a fastball super fan. Both Ed and his wife Gerda were at tournaments all summer long in Ontario and other locations year after year.  We have lost one of the good guys.
