Introducing the Hatteco Trojans Men’s Fastpitch Softball Club

 

Death is just one side of life, one facet of existence, all things must die eventually and in their place, new lives are born one souls dying breath becomes the first gasp of a newly-born life.

 

The game of men’s fastpitch softball is a dying game and it is quite apparent that the game will never be what it was back in the 50s and 60s.   At some point, the old have to let go of the past and the young have to step up to take the old and make it new again.  As disappointing as it was to announce the death of the Blackhawk Athletic Club Pride’s existence in Rockford, IL, I am excited to announce the beginning of a new team and organization. 

 

Beginning in 2014, Hatteco Sport Performance and Analysis will be sponsoring a new men’s fastpitch organization based out of Tampico, IL.   The mission of Hatteco is to provide state of the art, high tech training to athletes of ALL abilities and levels at an affordable price!  Hatteco Sport and Performance Analysis provide a variety of services to enhance an athletes sport and performance through one on one and group training.  Utilizing Dartfish video analysis software and its associated applications Hatteco provides clients the ability to view sport and fitness movements from the most advanced video analysis available. Hatteco provides online video coaching, comprehensive skill analysis, game tagging (film breakdown), personal video channels and recruiting videos for athletes of all ages and abilities.

 

The new weekend traveling team will be called the Hatteco Trojans and the organization will be sponsoring teams at a variety of levels of fastpitch.   Hatteco will be sponsoring a complete player pathway system to not only allow for a men’s team to continue to exist, but to transition young boys into adult league and weekend play.  Hatteco will sponsor the following leagues/teams in 2014.

 

Rockford Men’s Wood Bat League (Monday nights, runs from mid may-mid august

 

Rockford Coed League (Wednesday nights, runs late June through end of July)

 

Tampico High School Coed League (Thursday nights, runs mid June through end of July)

 

Hatteco Trojans (Weekend Traveling Team)

 

Hatteco Pride (Rockford Men’s League Team)

 

Hatteco Trojans (Men’s 23 U Team)

The weekend traveling team will begin play at the NAFA A Major level or ASA C Level.   The focus of the team will be supporting local tournaments, new player development and wood bat fastpitch.   Hatteco will continue to support wood bat games and exposing more teams to wood bat fastpitch softball.   Hatteco will be hosting four weekends where we are looking for teams to come in and play a one day 3 game set.  We started this a couple years ago and teams/players really like the ability to play 3 games on a Saturday afternoon/early evening, but still have the rest of their weekend to do things with their families.  Hatteco is looking for three teams to come to Tampico and play three games on three Saturdays on May 10, 17 and June 28.   On these dates we will use either composite or wood bats depending how teams want to play on these dates.  Hatteco will pick up the costs of umpires, balls, and field costs for teams wanting to play on these dates.   There will be no costs for teams that come to Tampico to play on these dates.  

 

We will be hosting one other weekend tournament during our Tampico Days summer homecoming festival (June 21).   We will be hosting two one day four team round robin tournaments during this weekend.  One tournament will be a wood bat tournament focused on lower level teams/younger players and the other tournament will be focused on higher level teams and will use composite bats.  The cost will be 175 dollars with a three game guarantee.
