Kingston, ON

STORRING, Robert (Bob) -   June 18, 1958 - December 19, 2013 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob at the age of 55 at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital following a 2 month illness with cancer. Bob enjoyed working at the Limestone District School Board most recently as a courier and previous to that as a caretaker. Bob was a wonderful husband to Anne (Fallon) and much loved and caring father to Chad (Amanda) and Holly (Peter) and he will be missed by his furry companion Toby. Adored son of Willa Campbell (the late Court) and awesome sister to Allison "Allie" Campbell (Sandi), pre-deceased by brother (Brian) and pre-deceased by sister-in-law Maureen Baker. Bob will be missed by many aunts and uncles and cousins and his close friends Bob and Sue, working buddy Brian Thompson and fishing partner Danny Emmons. We would like to express our thanks to Bob's PSW worker Becky and Nurses Wendy and Lynn. We appreciate Dr. Jana Kankesan’s compassion while Bob was an in-patient at K.G.H. and in the cancer clinic, along with Dr. Simon Colgan, Dr. Kondor, Dr. Tomiak, and Dr. Kelly Parks from the Palliative Care Team. Bob enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family, and summer gatherings on the deck with friends. Bob had many fond memories of playing softball in the Loughborough League, Circle Fastball League, with the Smiths Falls Redman and the Ottawa Turpin Pontiacs. Bob often reminisced about playing hockey in the C.A.L. and with the guys in Westport and Athens Leagues, along with his Pennsylvania softball tournaments. Bob was a dedicated Detroit Red Wings fan. For those wishing, donations may be made to the U.H.K.F. - Chances for Children in memory of Bob. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  IN CARE OF SIMPLER TIMES CREMATION SERVICE  613-389-7223 / 613-382-3683 on-line condolences www.simplertimes.org
