                            In the opener ,played at the Rick McDonald Memorial Park Sports Complex in Azilda , the Garson Hounds behind the fine pitching of veteran Pat Brennan , trounced the Dog House Sports Bar 10 to 2 . Dog House starts the young season 0-2 . Brennan gave up but four hits , two base on balls , struck out 7 batters and gave up but two earned runs going the distance. Brian Kutschke started and gave up 5 runs before being relieved in the third by Percy Tobbabogun . Adam Julien and Bryan Welsch hit 2 for 3 for the Hounds while J.P. Miron hit 2 for 2 in a losing cause ..
                                        In the nightcap , the Sudbury North Stars remained undefeated moving alone in first place with a 10-1 victory over the Panthers. Once again , Carter Joncas , North Stars’ pitcher , pitching the opening five innings before being relieved by Lanny Fichette in the sixth frame . Joncas gave up but one run on five base hits , one base on balls and three strike outs .Fichette faced 8 batters striking out three batters and not giving up a run. Gary Lamothe suffered the loss giving up 10 runs , nine earned and one strike out . Rylan Stolar relieved him in the sixth inning . Lanny Fichette led the way for the Stars hitting 2 for 3 ( single , double , run and 2 RBI’s ) with teammate Joel Belanger hitting 2 four 4 (run , RBI ) and veteran player coach hitting a inside the park round tripper . Rylan Stolar hit 1 for 3 (triple) in a losing cause for the Panthers .
                                        League play from the Quentin Seeley Re-Max fastball league resumes this coming Thursday May the 29th at Lorne Brady Memorial Park in Garson . At 7 PM , the North Stars will look to go 3-0 when they their longtime arch rivals the Garson Hounds (1-1) .In the nightcap under the lights at 9PM will look for their first win of the season(0-2) when the face the young Panthers (1-1).
