2014 U10@Play Events Announced!

Join Softball Ontario and its Fast Pitch Member Associations at a U10@Play Event this summer!

Softball Ontario and its Fast Pitch Member Associations (PWSA, OASA and ORSA) are encouraging U10 Softball Team to help us pilot the new Softball Canada Minor Rules at events across the province!
Your teams will have the chance to try out Softball CanadaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s new Minor Softball Rules and provide feedback that will help shape the future of Softball in Ontario.Â Participating teams will receive the following:

For U10@Play Players:
- Be active in the Softball Fun Zone
- Test your talents in the Softball Skills Zone
- Increased Playing Time
- More chances to touch the ball
- Additional at Bats
- Fun Prizes
- A chance to tell us how you like it!

- U10@Play Guide for Coaches (1 per Team)
- U10@Play Softball Player Ã¢â‚¬Å“ShiftÃ¢â‚¬Â Batting Roster (1 per Game)
- U10@Play Softball Player Ã¢â‚¬Å“ShuffleÃ¢â‚¬Â Batting Roster (1 per Game)
- U10@Play Softball Player Fielding Roster (1 per Game)
- A chance to give a candid feedback on the new Minor Rules and event format
For Parents and Fans
- U10@Play Guide for Parents (1 per Family)
- U10@Play Softball Player Tracker Card
- A chance to give candid feedback on the new Minor Rules and event format

The U10@Play events are open to any level- House League, Select, Rep, or open; all levels are encouraged to apply1

The Kitchener-Waterloo Minor Boys Softball Association U10 Event features awards for all, FREE BBQ lunch for all U10@Play players, A Softball Skill Zone, a Softball Fun Zone and a great way to get our kids really excited about playing and having lots of fun, learning the FUNdamentals of the game.Â Everyone will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the new Minor Rules and the event form.

The Micksburg Twins SoftballÂ AssociationÂ will be hosting a U10@Play event on Saturday, July 26, 2014!Â The event will feature a Softball Fun Zone, softball games, prizes for all participants and a Softball Skill Zone at the world class park:Â Petawawa Civic Centre! This venue has mini golf and a splash pad!

Players, Coaches and Fans will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the new minor rules for the U10@Play age group.

The Softball Fun Zone may include the following activities:

Mascot Challenge
Umpire Idol
Team Cheering Challenge
Water Balloon Toss
Inflatable Softball
and more!

The Softball Skills Zone may include the following activities:

Throwing to a target for accuracy
Timing your speed as running the bases
Measuring how far the softball is hit

Teams participating in one of these events will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have input on how the new rule are implemented at the U10@Play event in Ontario by speaking to a Softball Ontario and Softball Canada representative on site.Â Players will have a great time testing out the new rules and enjoying making new friends!
