The Circle Tap Dukes went 5-1 (15-2) to capture the Midsummer classic in
Bloomington, IL.

CT opened with a loss to Dolan Murphy of Aurora, IL 3-2. Dolan & Murphy
struck first on as Jacob Rooke led off the same with a bloop fly ball that
fell between four defenders winding up as a double a walk and a sacrifice
bunt later, Jesse Delorit delivered a two rbi single. Circle Tap evened
the score at two in the 2nd as Lewis Weldon doubled and scored when Tom
Crouch reached on an error. Crouch scored on a wild pitch. Dolan &
Murphy struck back in the bottom half on an rbi single by Rooke which
proved to be the game winner. Pat Sagdal was 2x3 for CT

Circle Tap then defeated Sibley, IL 2-0. Erick Urbaneja drew a bases
loaded walk in the 5th to score Ryan Sinclair (2x3) to take a 1-0 lead.
Jovaan Hanley smashed a solo home run in the 6th.

In a playoff game Circle Tap then defeated Villa Grove Knights of Illinois
13-0 in 5innings. Pat Sagdal was 4x4 and scored four runs. Ryan Sinclair
was 1x1 with and rbi triple and walked three times and scored four runs.
Matt Palazzo hit a three run home run. Tom Crouch was 2x3 with a double.
Jovaan Hanley was 2x4 with an rbi triple and Todd Malnory had two hits.

n the second playoff game Circle Tap defeated the Topeka Toros of Topeka,
KS 5-1. In the third Lewis Weldon hit a two out double, Matt Palazzo
walked, Erick Urbaneja hit an rbi single, followed by a two rbi triple by
Tom Crouch. CT made it 4-0 in the 4th as Justin Colombo singled and
scored on an rbi triple by Pat Sagdal. CT struck again in the 6th on a
Jovaan Hanley solo home run. The Toros scored in the 7th as Bryce Ray
singled, stole 2nd and scored when Jim Milkowski reached on an error.

In the semi-final Circle Tap defeated Dolan Murphy of Aurora, IL 4-0. Pat
Sagdal was 2x3 with an rbi and Jovaan Hanley had a sac fly rbi in the 5th
to break a scoreless tie. In the 6th Justin Colombo reached on an error
that scored two runs.

In the finals Circle Tap beat Bloomington Stix 8-3. Matt Palazzo hit a
two run homer in the first and a solo shot in the third and Lewis Weldon
smacked a grand slam in the 6th to break open a 4-3 game. Hamish Monkman
had two hits and two rbi for Bloomington

Denmark, Wisconsin Circle Tap won three straight games on the final day to win the All
Seasons Roofing Mid-Summer Classic at Bloomington’s O’Neil Park.


After downing the Topeka Toros in the opening game, 5-1, Circle Tap avenged a
Saturday loss to Aurora Dolan & Murphy with a 4-0.


In the finale against host Bloomington Stix, Circle Tap scored two runs in the first and
never looked back in an 8-3 victory and the tournament title.


The Circle Tap pitching staff of Juan Potolicchio, Joel Goodall and Erick Urbaneja
shared the Most Valuable Pitching Award, and catcher Lewis Weldon took home Most
Valuable Player Honors.
