2014 OASA Masters “A†& “B†Provincial Fastball Championship

The 2014 OASA Masters ‘A†& “B†Provincial Fastball Championships will take place July 18-20 at the Cambridge Sports Park in Cambridge Ontario.
Tournament Director Mike Goodridge is thrilled to announce that the tournament has grown 10 teams in 2014.
The 10 teams will battle it out to see who will be declared Ontario Champions.
Gold and Silver medals will be presented in both the “A†& “B†divisions.
The tournament format is a 3 game round robin self seeding tournament, after the round robin teams are ranked 1 through 10 with the top 5 teams playing a single elimination for the “A†Championship and the other 5 teams playing a single elimination for the “B†Championship.
All teams are guaranteed 4 games.

A vendor will be onsite on Saturday July 19th. only selling tournament souvenir t-shirts.
Why not come on out to the park and see some great players in action, admission is free all weekend.
You can purchase food and refreshments/beer at the restaurant/bar located inside the sports complex.
The following teams will be competing, Ontario Force, Waterloo X-Copper Classics, Waterdown Hammer, Ohsweken Senior Braves,
St. Thomas Elgin Fire Storm, Ingersoll Crush Masters, Waterdown Hammer Legends, Arthur Merchants, Cambridge Rusty Jiggers and the defending Champions, Toronto Gators. The following pitchers are all expected to appear, Darren Zack, Mike Crawford, Andy Jackson, Tom Berube, Todd Uhrig, Jason Smith, Dan Beecroft, Tim Neill, Mel Ross etc.
The Tournament will take a short break ( weather permitting ) at 3:00 pm on Saturday July 19th. for the Ontario Masters Fastball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The following 5 men have all been elected to the Hall of Fame, Doug Charlton, Ewart Timlin, Sam Forbes, Wayne Wells and Darren Zack. Each inductee will receive a custom made and individually personalized Hall of Fame ring during the ceremony.
We will be holding a silent auction to raffle off 2 posters from last year’s OASA Masters Championship.
One of the posters has team photos of every team that has won a masters championship since it’s inception in 1996.
The other poster has all of the Jack Cook Award winner’s photos from previous years.
