QUENTIN SEELEY REMAX FASTBALL LEAGUE
 
                               CHAD ST CYR HITS FOR THE CYCLE
 
       Monday night in Azilda at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex , the Sudbury Aquatech North Stars continued their dominance in league play . In the first of a doubleheader for the first place team , they scored 9 runs in the first two innings and went on to rout the third place Panthers 13 to 1 . Eric Landriault ( 1-0 ) in his only second game , this time as a starter , went the distance giving up but one single run on 2 hits striking out 2 and issuing only one walk . Brad Matheson ( 1-2) started for the Panthers but gave way to Rylan Stolar (1-1)  after giving up 9 runs in the first two frames . Both combined to give up 13 runs on 11 hits  striking out 5 and  issuing 6 walks . Joel Belanger ( 3 runs , triple , RBI  ) led the way for the North Stars going 2 for 2 with teammate Mike Cain ( 2 runs  hitting 2 for 3 and Marc Cain chipping in with a 3 run shot to center field . Marcel Recollet hit 2 for 2 in a losing cause for the slumping Panthers ..
         In the nightcap at 9 pm , the Aquatech boys continued their hitting onslaught with a 16-4 trouncing of the  Garson Hounds . Carter Joncas  (9-1) went all the way for the North Stars in collecting his 9th victory of the season and clinching the pitching crown for 2014 . Carter gave up  4 runs (3 earned ) on 9 base hits fanning 6 batters  ( 58 for the season at this point ) and issuing but 1 single walk . Matt Behm ( 2-1 ) started for the Hounds but gave way to Johnny Ainslie in the 5th inning after giving up all 16 runs on 15 hits and striking out 5 . Chad St Cyr led the way for the North Stars going a perfect 4 for 4 as he hit for the cycle ( sgl,dbl,trpl,HR a solo ,4 RBI’s)  with teammates Ryan Bradley hitting 2 for 2 ,  brother Jesse St Cyr going 2 for 3 , Marc Cain hitting 3 for 4 both doubles and Ben Bass also hitting 2 for 4  with one a triple .Both Eric Legendre (two triples) and Todd Parsons (two doubles) both going 2 for 3 at the dish in a losing cause ..
           There are four regular season games remaining prior to the first round of the playoffs which are tentatively scheduled for Thursday July the 31st in Garson ..This coming Thursday July the 24th at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park in Garson , all four league teams will be in action . In the opener at 7 pm , the Panthers will battle the Dog House while in the nightcap at 9 pm , the North Stars  will be looking for their 13th victory of the season when they clash against the Garson Hounds  .
           Both Eddy Roy (Garson Hounds ) hitting at a blistering  640 ( he has one game remaining) and Carter Joncas (9-1) of the North Stars have both clinch their crowns .
           This coming weekend of July the 26th and 27th , is the 5th Annual Brad Rienguette “Shamou Shoot Out “ Fastball Tournament . Attached you’ll find the final drafted schedule of the tournament (gets underway Saturday morning at 8:00 am) and a resume of activities for the weekend .
