Team Canada to Play Exhibition Series in Southern Ontario

Team Canada to Play Exhibition Series
in Southern Ontario

(Ottawa, ON) The Canadian Women’s National Team will play a series of exhibition games against the Stratford Brakettes club team and the Puerto Rican National Team in Southern Ontario from August 3-8. This event will be Team Canada’s final tune-up before travelling to Haarlem, Netherlands to compete at the International Softball Federation (ISF) XIV Women’s World Championship, which will take place from August 15-24.
 
Team Canada will play a pair of doubleheaders against the Brakettes on August 3rd and 4th at the Old Fairgrounds in Brampton, ON. The Brakettes are a long-standing club team from Stratford, CT that has competed in several exhibition games against Canada in the past. Following this four-game exhibition series, Canada will then host Puerto Rico for exhibition games on August 7th and 8th in Mississauga and Brampton before both teams travel to the Netherlands for the ISF World Championship. The games in Mississauga will take place at Meadowvale North Sports Park.
 
Tickets for all games will be available at the gate at the cost of $5.00 per person. Athletes under the age of 18 wearing their softball jersey will be admitted for free.
