          This almost sounds like a a song from the legendary group Chicago but its not the case . As two major fastball tournaments approach , two numbers jump up .
               First the All Ontario Aboriginal (Native) Fastball tournament for ladies and men .. Its just 18 days away from August the 22nd to the 24th .It will be held in 2014, at the Parry Island First Nation Reserve . Six fields will be in use .. The main field , a brand new rebuilt one , where all the finals will be held will be the main headquarters .We then turn ourselves to the Shawinigan First Nation field and finish off with the four final fields in Parry Sound at their sports complex . At this time we have 35 confirmed teams (more to come ) participating in 6 divisions (ladies open , men’s open , senior ladies , senior men , junior ladies and junior men ).
                 Some 7 days later it’s the 28th Annual Lions Senior World’s being played on the Labor Day Weekend of August the 29th to the 31st .This year after a period of 27 years in North Bay will be played in Greater Sudbury where it was awarded in April . To be more precise it will be played in a suburb of Sudbury , Azilda . at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex .At the present time we have 17 teams confirmed with more to come .The deadline is August the 15th ..After that date of August the fifth tomorrow the entry fee goes up from $450 to $500 .
                  Fans are in for a treat with these up coming fastball tournament and also if you get a chance head down to Kitchener for the ISC World Championships from August 8th to the 16th . In the master’s division Eddy Roy of the Garson Hounds will be playing for Waterdown Hammer as a utility player .
                   Don’t forget that the Quinton Seeley Remax Fastball League returns to action on Thursday August the 7th with the start of the 2014 first round of the playoffs ( a double round robin to establish seeds 1 to 4 ) . In the opener at 7pm the Dog House take on the Aquatech Sudbury North Stars while in the nightcap at 9 pm the Garson Hounds clash with the Panthers
