                                                    DOG HOUSE UPSET THE NORTH STARS

                                  The 2014 edition of the playoffs got off with a bang on Thursday night in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park . The cinderella Dog House with only three victories during the regular season (3-15-0) came up with a gem in the first game with a 8-6 victory over first place Aquatech North Stars .The Dog House’s big inning was the 3rd when they scored a five spot on JP Miron’s grand slam home run .They added 2 more and held on for the sweet victory ..Mike Greskow started but gave way to Jonathan Contin in the second who picked the victory in relief .Carter Joncas suffered the loss .J.P. Miron of course led the way going 2 for 3 (2 runs , grand slam , 4 RBI’s while Jesse St Cyr went 2 for 2 (run , HR,sac bunt ) in a losing cause for the North Stars ..
                                                 It was another tight one in the nightcap with the Panthers facing the Garson Hounds . The Panthers led 6-2 after 3 frames than the Hounds came roaring back to score 6 runs in the later innings picking a close 9-8 victory with a walk on base hit with bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th .Pat BRennan picked up the win in relief with Brad Matheson tagged with the loss . TJ Wabajigij led the way for the Hounds going 2 for 2 including the walk on winning hit from the 7th while Brad Matheson went 3 for 4 in a losing cause for the Panthers ..
                                                    Playoff action for the first round resumes on Monday night August the 11th in Azilda at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex .In the opener at 7 pm the Hounds(1-0) play the Dog House(1-0) while at 9pm the North Stars (0-1) tangle with the Panthers(0-1) .
