  NORTH STARS MOVE INTO FIRST

                   Playoff action continued in Remax Fastball on Monday night in Azilda .In the opener , the Panthers hit the column for the first time with a 7-5 victory over the Dog House . Five big runs in the bottom of the fifth helped them propelled into the win for a come from behind victory .Brad Matheson went all the way in preserving the win giving up 7 hits and striking out 2 batters . Bruce MacDonald took the loss .Owen Peltier and Curt Brown led the way for the Panthers going a perfect 3 for 3 at the dish while JP Miron hit 2 for 4 in a losing cause for the Dog House .
                           In the nightcap , the North Stars took over first place (virtue of heasd to head tie breaker) with a 7-5 victory over their rivals the Garson Hounds ..Carter Joncas went the distance for the win while John Ainslie was tagged with loss .Pitou Paquette led the way for the winners going 3 for 3 at the plate with teammate Jesse St Cyr hitting 2 for 3 while John Ainslie hit 2 for 3 in a losing cause .
                           First round playoff action ends on Thursday night in Garson when the Garson Hounds take on once more the Aquatech North Stars at 7 pm followed by a clash between the Dog House and the Panthers at 9 pm .
                           Opening ceremonies in the 28th Annual Lions World Senior Fastball Tournament this coming Friday (in three days) in Azilda at 7 pm.
