28th ANNUAL LIONS SENIOR WORLDS FASTBALL TOURNAMENT

                      The 28th Annual Lions Worlds Senior Fastball Tournament to be held in Azilda (suburb of Greater City of Sudbury) at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex is only 4 days away starting this Friday August the 22nd . We are still looking for some teams and you may contact either Ike McDonald at 705-805-0369 /hdmmine@eastlink.ca or Roger Legendre at roger.legendre@hotmail.com . The tournament will open with a special open ceremony It will be led by the Lockerby Legion Color Guard . Special guests such as Ron Dupuis (deputy mayor) ,Claude Gravelle(our local MP)- he will throw out the ceremonial fist pitch , Jim Kirkwood( this year’s honorary chairperson) and Ike McDonald( chairperson ) will be speaking at 7 pm .The first games get underway at 7:15 pm ..In the opener Toronto takes on our local Sudbury Relics .
                               Locally tonight , the Quentin Seeley Remax Fastball playoffs continue in Azilda ..In the opener the 4th place Panthers take on the 3rd place Dog House and that will be followed by the battle for first place between long time arch rivals the Aquatech North Stars and the Garson Hounds .
