Mexicali, Mexico
A member of the Prince George Black Bears fastball team, had
him self quite the weekend, down in Mexico and today received quite the
honour.
Chad Ghostkeeper played with the So Cal Bombers and an international
tournament in Mexico last weekend. Ghostkeeper hit 8 home runs
and was named the top batter and MVP. Today Softball BC also acknowledged
Ghostkeepers year which included the all-star catcher award at
the National Mens Fastpitch Championship which was held in Prince
George.
Ghostkeeper was named the Senior Athlete of the year by Softball
BC. Ghostkeeper will be given his award at a banquet in a a few weeks
in Richmond, BC

Mexicali Mexico
Al, just a few tid bits about the Mexicali tournament run by Fidencio
Lopez and Carlos Quiroz.
First, contratulations to Chad Ghostkeeper (tournament MVP), Jeremy Manley
(MVP pitcher) and Cliff Wisdom (all tournament team) also to SoCal for
winning the 2006 Copa Dum. The Copa Dum tournament is deffinetly an
event that more USA teams should consider attending. The hand built
stadium was well maintained with very clean restrooms. The stands were
packed (1000+). The food delicious and ice cold beer.
The Tijuana Unitec team beat the Bandits/S Senor 4-2 and defeated SoCal
in their first game 6-1. They could do some damage in the ISC World.
The teams from Hermoslllo and Mexicali were a mix of veteran baseball
players with some young pitchers that threw the ball hard.
I won't talk about the evening life at the night clubs but a normal man
could lose his bearing and the statue of limitations for those
activities never runs out.
