Laurier Softball Commits to National Championships

Laurier Softball has officially filed their commitment to the 2015 National Championships. The Canadian Collegiate Softball Association (CCSA) National Championships will be held at Durham College on Thanksgiving weekend this October (October 9-12).

Women’s Softball is making their first appearance at the National Championships since winning on home soil in Kitchener-Waterloo back in 2009, defeating the University of Saskatchewan 7-4 in the gold medal game.. Laurier was the first Ontario club to compete in the first National Championships in 2008 hosted at the University of Calgary and captured a silver medal in this inaugural event.

The Golden Hawks qualified for the CCSA National Championships thanks to their silver medal finish at the 2014 Ontario Provincial Championships.

Full brackets and teams are yet to be confirmed, however more information will be available at www.ccsasoftball.ca
