Softball Canada's 50th Anniversary

The Canadian Amateur Softball Association (CASA), commonly known as Softball Canada, is kicking off a yearlong celebration of its 50th Anniversary in 2015.


Women’s National Team Information

With the summer quickly approaching, it is time to review the plans for the Junior Women’s National Team.


Canadian Women's Softball Team Named for 2015 Pan Am Games

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Softball Canada are pleased to announce the fifteen (15) Women’s National Softball Team athletes who have been selected to represent Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games from July 19 to 26 in Ajax, Ontario. The final roster was determined following a Selection Camp held in Clearwater, Florida in December.


Pan Am Games Tickets Available Now!

Just in time for holiday gift giving, tickets for the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games are now being sold on a first-come, first-served basis! Now’s the time to get your tickets to be part of the Pan Am Games action and join in on the biggest international, multi-sport event that Canada has ever hosted. Sales in the early access period were strong, but great seats are still available for those who act soon.


2015 Junior Women's National Team Regional Identification Camps

Softball Canada is pleased to announce a series of Regional Identification Camps for the Junior Women's National Team program in preparation for the 2015 ISF XI Junior Women’s World Championship.


Softball Clinic in Botswana

Team Canada Women's National Team athlete Joey Lye (Toronto, ON) organized a softball clinic in Botswana last month. Read all about her experience!


2020 Olympic Games

A decision on adding new sports to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games programme will take place in August 2016. Softball and baseball are considered the favourites to return.

Softball Canada Hall of Fame

Nominations for athletes, coaches, officials, builders and teams for induction into Softball Canada’s Hall of Fame are being accepted until April 1, 2015. A maximum of five (5) new members will be chosen to be inducted on Saturday, November 14th during Softball Canada’s Annual General Meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba.


2016 Blue Convention

Richmond will be THE place to be for softball umpires from coast to coast from March 25-27, 2016 as Softball Canada and the Softball British Columbia Umpire Associations host BLUE CONVENTION 2016 – three great days of learning and connecting. Whether you’re a veteran or a brand new Level I / junior umpire you will find something to upgrade your game. Learn from the best in the sport from all over the world. We’ll have youth clinics and sessions for new(er) umpires, plus Level IV and Instructor / Evaluator clinics wrapped around the main conference.

Ed Bitz Scholarship

Softball Canada is currently accepting nominations for the Ed Bitz Scholarship, awarded to two registered Softball Canada umpires who following are their studies in a post-secondary educational institution. The deadline for applications is April 30th. 2015.
