North Harbour are on the brink of winning their first National Fastpitch Championship men's softball title after qualifying for the final with a crushing win over Auckland.

Auckland will now meet Wellington tomorrow morning to decide the other finalist after Wellington edged out Hutt Valley 9-7 in the minor semifinal following another impressive batting and pitching display by Jovaan Hanley.

Auckland are through to the NFC women's final after grabbing a 1-0 win over Hutt Valley in a ninth inning tiebreaker.

Hutt Valley will now meet crosstown rivals Wellington, who thrashed defending champions Canterbury 10-2 in five innings.
