Kicking off the Pan American Games on July 12 is the men's softball division with Team USA facing the Dominican Republic in their opening match.  The U.S. will also compete against Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico and seven-time Pan American Games Gold Medalists Canada before heading into the playoff rounds July 17-18.  Led by Head Coach Denny Bruckert (Gillespie, Ill.), the roster for the 2015 USA Softball Men's National Team was announced in January following a Men's National Team Selection Camp in Irvine, Calif.  Click here to see the 2015 USA Softball Men's National Team roster that will be competing in Toronto this summer.

Following the conclusion of the men's division, the women will take to the field starting on July 19 with Team USA facing Puerto Rico in their opening game.  The Red, White and Blue are also scheduled to play against Brazil, Canada, Cuba and the Dominican Republic before heading into the playoff rounds July 24-26.  Led by Head Coach Ken Eriksen (Tampa, Fla./Head Coach South Florida), the roster for the 2015 USA Softball Women's National Team was announced in January following a Women's National Team Selection Camp in Irvine, Calif.  Click here to see the 2015 USA Softball Women's National Team roster that will compete in Toronto this summer.

Since making its debut on the Pan American Games program in 1979, softball has been a long-time favorite with the U.S. Women's National Team claiming the Gold eight times while the U.S. Men have finished runner-up in each Pan American Games appearance.  The Pan American Games are held every four years and marks the only multi-sport event that USA Softball participates in internationally.  In their last Pan American Games appearance in 2003 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the Men's Fast Pitch National Team earned a silver medal after falling to Canada 4-0 in the Championship Game.  The Women's National Team will be defending their Gold Medal finish at the 2011 Pan American Games, which were held in Guadalajara, Mexico.  The Women went undefeated throughout the 2011 Pan American Games and won the Gold Medal with an 11-1 (four inning) win over Canada.
