Team Denmark selected for the Worlds

The team representing Denmark at the Worlds in Saskatoon is now selected. The team is led by brothers centerfielder Frederik Terkelsen and pitcher/1st baseman Valdemar Terkelsen, both playing this year for the Kitchener Hallman Twins.  Freddy has won 3 ISC titles the last 5 years with several All World Selections and younger brother Valde has played a couple of seasons with Pueblo Bandits.   Also catcher Anders Jørgensen, pitcher Kim Hansen and outfielder Martin Simonsen has North American experience.

Team Denmark will start a series of at least 20 games with a tournament in Holland in Maj, the Fastpitch Challenge series against Czech Republic in Denmark in June and then exhibition games in Canada against Saskatoon Diamondbacks, Bruno Merchants, Chetty’s Pretty Boys and Grenfell Gems.

Team Denmark’s best placing at a World Championship is 11th in 2009 in Saskatoon, but this time around the main goal for the team is a spot in the play offs.
