OIWFA Launches New
Awards Program

Guelph, ON – The Ontario Intercollegiate Women’s Fastpitch
Association is pleased to unveil a brand new awards program for the 2015 season
and onwards. The addition of three new awards includes an Outstanding
Contribution Award, Athlete of the Week, and Coach of the Year; all are
additions to the already existing Doug Parry MVP Award and the annual OIWFA
League All-Star awards. Full in-depth information for all awards is available
on the OIWFA website.

“This is an exciting time for us as it gives the OIWFA the
opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional on and off field success of our
student-athletes and coaches” said OIWFA President Matt Allen.

The new program is highlighted by its most prestigious
honour it will give on an annual basis in the Outstanding Contribution Award
for an individual or team who has left a legacy to the success of the OIWFA by
providing female athletes the opportunity to compete at the intercollegiate
level. Nominations for this specific award will be open to the general public

The OIWFA extends its gratitude to the Ad-Hoc Committee for
