Canadian Men's Softball Team Ready to
Compete at XVII Pan American Games

(Ajax, ON) The Canadian Men's Softball Team is ready to compete at the XVII Pan American Games in Ajax, ON and will open the event with a game against Mexico at 7:00pm EDT on Sunday, July 12. The event will feature six teams, including Argentina, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the United States and Venezuela.
 
The TORONTO 2015 Games will mark the return of men’s softball to the Pan Am Games program, last appearing in 2003. The Canadian Men’s Softball Team won all seven gold medals awarded at the event between 1979 and 2003.
 
Team Canada is coming off an outstanding performance at the 2015 WBSC Men’s World Softball Championship last week in Saskatoon, SK, where they defeated Venezuela 10-0 to advance to the Championship game and came back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat New Zealand 10-5 to claim its first Gold medal at the event since 1992.
 

The Canadian Men’s Softball Team will be holding an
Opening Press Conference at 3:00pm EDT on Saturday, July 11
at the Main Press Center (100-1 Princes’ Boulevard, Toronto, ON)
