Well it should not be hard to pick the story of the weekend; it was the Innerkip ISC II Qualifier, yes, held in Innerkip, Ontario.
Why the ISC II Qualifier and not Team Canada visiting Southern Ontario as they prepare for the ISF World Championship in Saskatoon? Well, I would have hoped for a tie in that regard but you have to admit the folks in Innerkip broke their backs to a. get us the results and b. to get the games in on a very wet weekend.
We have our fingers crossed that we will receive more detailed and timely results for the remaining exhibition games, especially from the NZ Black Sox who arrive in Canada next.
Back to Innerkip and the ISC II Qualifier: Kudos to Blair Setford and the organizers in Innerkip for actually getting all the games in in spite of the rain but more importantly for getting the results out almost real time. Blair managed to work his thumbs off sending us game by game updates from the park, to both www.alsfastball.com and to www.fastpitchwest.com
We had information flowing to both sites all weekend as well as to Facebook and we are also testing Twitter, yes we are now at http://twitter.com/AlsFastball
