For years there has been a major men's fastball tournament here in the KW areas...the old CHYMr tournaments in the 70s, then the Twins tournament in both Waterloo's Hillside Park, and Kitchener's Peter Hallman Ball Yard,a few years in Woodstock and now out of town again, this time to St Clements Ball Park in the village of St Clements, a part of Wellesley Township.

The Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, is excited to announce a partnership with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST).   

“ASA/USA Softball has a long history of supporting our military members and veterans while honoring the sacrifices they have given and continue to give,” said ASA/USA Softball Executive Director Craig Cress.  “In partnering with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team, we are excited to further our support while helping bring awareness to their team and program.  It’s truly an honor to call the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team a partner, and we’re looking forward to spreading their inspirational message throughout the U.S. and the world.”

 

Oklahoma City, OK - ASA/USA Softball announces schedule of events featured in 2016 season of Softball 360 TV show

Softball’s coverage continues to grow in the 2016 season as the Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball unveiled its list of events to be featured on Softball 360, a syndicated 30-minute feature television show that focuses on all aspects of the game. Produced and edited by Long Haul Productions, the show enters its 12th season and will create 13 original air dates that reach over 97.4 million households through a series of 25 networks.

Recognizing the ongoing disparity in the currency exchange between U.S. and Canadian dollars, the ISC is announcing that the entry fee for the 2016 ISC World Tournament and ISC 50+ Legends Championship is being set at $350 USD for Canadian teams.

The Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball announced today the Top 25 Finalists for the 2016 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, which will be announced at the opening of the 2016 NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS) in Oklahoma City. The USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award, which is considered the most prestigious honor in Division I women’s collegiate softball, recognizes the outstanding athletic achievement by female players across the country.
