Maintaining the No. 1 spot in this week’s ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 is Florida (30-1, 5-1 SEC), who went 4-1 in play this past week while giving up its first loss of the season, the Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball announced today. After holding an undefeated record for the first five weeks of competition, the Gators received 18-of-20 first-place votes, while Michigan (21-2) and Louisiana-Lafayette (22-2, 4-1 Sun Belt) garnered one first-place vote apiece.

Lower Hutt, NZ - Jennifer Feret fires Auckland's Western Magpies to first national softball title
White Sox hurler Jennifer Feret threw her second no-hitter against the Hutt Valley Dodgers to inspire Auckland's Western Magpies to their first national women's interclub softball title.
It was a case of third time lucky for Feret and her Kelston-based clubmates as they dispatched the Dodgers 2-0 in the final in Lower Hutt on Sunday.
"It's been three years in the making," proud Magpies coach Tua Raroa said.

White Sox pitcher Jennifer Feret has fired Auckland club Western Magpies into the national women's interclub softball final on Sunday.
Feret starred with ball and bat on day four of the national championships at Lower Hutt's Fraser Ballpark on Saturday.
She hammered a bases-loaded grand slam home run over the outfield fence in Magpies' 8-2 win over Hutt Valley club Te Aroha.
